Grief is one of our deepest human experiences that will one day impact us all. Symptoms of grief can feel like an aching sadness, and they don’t only come after a death.
Any loss that is deeply felt can lead to grief: the end of a relationship, a life change leading to lost experiences, or watching a loved one’s health suffer. There is no right way or length of time to experience grief. Because this feeling is so complex, it has a complicated impact on our wellness.
But humans are resilient. Learning to live and grow through this feeling is possible, and can make us even stronger.
